GKUC Bitumen Crack Fill Road Paint

PRODUCT SUMMARY:

Crack-Fill Road Paint sold in Sri Lanka by GKUC International Pvt Ltd is a blackish-brown, water-based bitumen emulsion that is specially formulated to fill visible cracks on asphalt surfaces up to 3mm wide, including hairline cracks. The product is designed to penetrate through the cracks, seal the surface, Copyright Construction Trade Technologies (Pvt) Ltd.and provide long-lasting protection. It is a water-miscible material that is easy to apply under normal conditions. This product is suitable for use in the asphalting and maintenance of roads, highways and expressways under the purview of the Road Development Authority (RDA) of Sri Lanka.

• Storage facilities

Always keep the container under the shade where the temperature does not exceed 40°C Use always first in the first out manner and mix thoroughly before application

• Application

Crack-fill road paint can be applied by brush or roller. Two layers of the paint were recommended. Additional layers can be applied to enhance the strength if needed. The prime layer is normally diluted by 10% to enhance the deep penetration through the cracks. The remaining layer can be applied 1 hour time after the previous layer is applied. For wider cracks, the diluted prime layer can be poured if possible. Tools used during the application can be cleaned with kerosene or white spirit so that hardened materials can be easily removed.

• Surface Preparation

Before applying Crack-fill Road paint, ensure all dirt and loose material is completely removed using an appropriate method to achieve optimal results..

• Storage life

Containers can be kept sealed and stored up to 12 months. 

• Health and Safety

Wash the spilt areas with the water if any and Kerosene can be used for further cleaning. Empty containers and residues should be disposed of safely.
